Tatár Gergő wins Békéscsaba interim municipal election

Tatár Gergő, the candidate of the Pátria Békéscsaba Association, won the interim municipal election for district 7 in the Hungarian city of Békéscsaba, receiving 264 votes. The vote was held because former councilor Bodóczi István resigned after securing a seat in the national parliament. Voter turnout was low, with about 15.9% of the 3,225 eligible voters casting ballots.

The runner‑up was Medovarszki János of the Hajrá Békéscsaba group with 195 votes, followed by Gyebnár Dávid (Mi Hazánk) with 32 votes and Dancsó Tibor (Duna Párt) with 21 votes. The election proceeded without irregularities, no invalid ballots were reported, and a few voters required assistance to reach the polling stations. After the result, Tatár Gergő thanked voters and said he would work openly and cooperatively for the district and the city.
