Tatra County officials address regional identity and local governance

Local government representatives from the Tatra County held a press conference in Biały Dunajec to summarize the outcomes of the Tatra Convention. Key discussions focused on defending the identity and dignity of the Podhale community following attacks by the organization DIOZ. Authorities have filed three separate prosecutor notifications regarding the defamation of public figures, pressure on local government decisions concerning horse transport, and the spreading of hate speech against the local community.

Other agenda items included the management of horse-drawn transport to Morskie Oko, specifically regarding animal welfare and the potential future introduction of bus services by the Tatra National Park. Additionally, officials discussed support for the Polish Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in Zakopane and progress on the digitalization of land and building registries using European funds.
