Tatra Defence Vehicle reports surge in revenue and profit
Tatra Defence Vehicle (TDV), a manufacturer of military vehicles based in Kopřivnice, reported significant financial growth last year. The company’s revenues rose by approximately 1.9 billion CZK, a 63 percent increase, reaching a total of 4.93 billion CZK. Net profit saw an even more dramatic surge, more than tripling from 230.5 million CZK to 723.3 million CZK.
While the majority of TDV’s business remains centered in the Czech Republic, international revenue grew from 1.5 percent to 5.7 percent of the total. The company specializes in the development, production, and servicing of armored vehicles, including the Pandur, Titus, and Tadeas models, as well as platforms for major global tank and combat vehicle manufacturers.
As part of the Czechoslovak Group owned by Michal Strnad, TDV has announced plans to invest approximately 49.7 million EUR (roughly 1.2 billion CZK) into its Kopřivnice facilities over the next three years. These investments aim to expand production capacities for land-based military technology and supporting infrastructure, with plans to hire hundreds of new employees.
