Tatry Mountain Resorts adds new family attractions in Slovakia's High Tatras
The High Tatras hosted two new family‑focused events organized by Tatry Mountain Resorts. On July 25‑26 the traditional Medvedie dni took place on Hrebienok, offering an interactive forest adventure with theater, music, games and a series of ten task stations. Children collected stamps in a play‑brochure, learned about local wildlife and received a small gift if they brought a plush bear, according to manager Marián Galajda.
Later, the Jasná ski resort opened Slide Park, a 127.6‑metre toboggan trail themed around seven native animals – bear, elk, marmot, eagle, wolf, lynx and chamois. Each slide includes educational panels and QR‑code audio that brings the animals to life. The free attraction, praised by director Jiří Trumpeš as a symbol of Jasná’s year‑round family‑destination strategy, officially opened on 1 August 2026 alongside a new bike park.
Both events aim to combine recreation with nature education for children and families visiting the Slovak mountains.
