Tatsuki Fujimoto develops new concept focused on death

Manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, known for the series ‘Chainsaw Man’, has revealed that he is working on a new creative concept centered around ‘a positive vision of death’. While a specific series or format has not yet been officially announced, the author indicated that he is currently developing a conceptual core, which may eventually result in a one-shot manga.

In recent discussions regarding his creative process, Fujimoto addressed the conclusion of ‘Chainsaw Man’, explaining that the intense pressure of weekly serialization influenced the story's direction. He noted that the requirement to produce 19 pages every seven days often leaves no time for detailed plotting, forcing him to rely on instinct and character behavior to drive the narrative forward. This differs from his work on self-contained stories, where he typically completes a full argument before beginning the storyboard.
