Tatyana Doncheva warns of Sotir Tsatsarov acting as shadow prosecutor

Tatyana Doncheva, leader of the Movement 21 party, has warned that Sotir Tsatsarov could become a shadow prosecutor if he is not defeated by Ivan Demerdzhiev. Speaking on BNR, Doncheva suggested that decision-makers within a Masonic lodge may influence the future of the justice system, noting that the center of these discussions has reportedly shifted to Plovdiv.

Doncheva addressed the possibility of securing the 160 votes required in the National Assembly to elect new members to the Supreme Judicial Council. She suggested that political parties could reach an agreement by distributing seats among groups such as Vazrazhdane, PP, and DB to maintain control over the selection process.

Furthermore, Doncheva cautioned against allowing Tsatsarov to lead the judicial reform process. She argued that his deep familiarity with the system, stemming from his previous roles and proximity to former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, does not guarantee he will dismantle the existing model. She characterized the previous political model as one that allowed for the control of judges and prosecutors at all levels.
