Taufik Hidayat charged in Indonesia for kidnapping, forced tattoo and sexual violence

Police in West Java disclosed that the victim, Yuvita Tri Rezeki, was compelled to receive a tattoo depicting the face of suspect Taufik Hidayat and a jealous message while she was held captive for three years. Investigators said the tattoo was applied under psychological intimidation, noting there was no direct physical force at the time.

Prosecutors have now added three statutes to the case: Articles 451 and 469 of the 2023 criminal code and Article 6 of the 2022 sexual‑violence law. The combined charges carry a possible prison term of up to 12 years, and the investigation file is being completed for submission to the prosecution.
