TAURON Ciepło receives ISO 50001 energy management certification

TAURON Ciepło has obtained the ISO 50001 certification, confirming that its Energy Management System meets international standards. The certification validates the company’s systematic approach to energy management and its efforts to improve energy efficiency.

The implementation process began in December 2023 and involved process analysis, the development of procedures, the establishment of energy goals, and the creation of a monitoring system. Following a five-day audit in July 2026, an independent body confirmed the company’s compliance with the standard.

Ewelina Stępczyk, Vice President of the Board at TAURON Ciepło, stated that the system allows for more effective management of energy consumption and identifies areas for improvement, providing organizational and economic benefits. The company will undergo annual surveillance audits and a recertification audit after three years to ensure continuous improvement.
