TAV Havalimanları celebrates 20 years at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport

TAV Havalimanları is celebrating 20 years of operating the İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport. Since the company began managing the international terminal in 2006, annual passenger numbers have grown from 4.4 million to 12.6 million in 2025.

Over the two decades, the company has invested approximately 416 million euros across both terminals, including a 250 million euro investment for the new domestic terminal opened in 2014. The airport's total area now spans 310,978 square meters, with a total annual passenger capacity of 35 million.

In addition to infrastructure, TAV Havalimanları is focusing on sustainability, aiming to meet approximately 25 percent of the airport's energy needs through solar energy investments. The international terminal currently provides flight options to 79 destinations in 36 countries via 34 airlines.
