Tavira municipality allocates €276,125 to 43 cultural associations

The Câmara Municipal de Tavira approved a financial grant of €276,125 to support 43 local cultural associations. The funding will be used for projects in theatre, music, dance, crafts and other artistic activities, targeting a wide range of age groups.

The investment is part of the municipality’s sustainable cultural‑development strategy, aimed at strengthening social cohesion, preserving intangible heritage and enhancing the quality of life for residents. Grants will be formalised through collaboration protocols with the associations.

The measure underscores the council’s commitment to a proximity‑based cultural policy that promotes creativity, inclusion and community participation across the Tavira region.
