Tawau fire destroys 70 clothing stalls in Kampung Titingan

Approximately 70 stalls selling secondhand clothing were completely destroyed in a fire at Kampung Titingan, Tawau, Sabah, in the early hours of Thursday. The fire, which began around 4:44 AM, affected non-permanent structures covering an area of roughly 2.97 acres.

Firefighters arrived at the scene within seven minutes of the emergency call. While the clothing stalls were 100 percent destroyed, emergency responders successfully prevented the flames from spreading to approximately 350 nearby residential homes and business premises.

The operation involved the Tawau Fire and Rescue Department, Community Firefighters, the Royal Malaysia Police, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force, and Sabah Electricity. No casualties were reported, and authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and the total financial losses.
