Tawfik Bentayeb cleared to join Morocco after head injury scare

Anderlecht striker Tawfik Bentayeb has been cleared to join the Moroccan national team following a head injury scare during a match against Zulte Waregem. During the game, Bentayeb scored a goal and provided an assist before suffering a heavy collision with Laurent Lemoine, which resulted in him losing consciousness.

Medical examinations and preliminary assessments have ruled out serious injuries, including a concussion or skull fracture. However, due to medical protocols regarding head injuries, Bentayeb must undergo a mandatory individual recovery program lasting approximately seven to ten days.

While the injury complicates his immediate availability for certain club activities, he is expected to participate in Morocco's training camp under coach Mohamed Ouahbi for upcoming fixtures against Gabon, Lesotho, and Ghana.
