Tax authorities in Venezuela and Mexico advance digital modernization

Tax authorities in Venezuela and Mexico are implementing new technological and educational initiatives to modernize fiscal administration.

In Venezuela, the National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT), in partnership with the National School of Administration and Public Finance (ENAHP), has launched a professionalization program for 1,523 tax inspectors. The 12-week online course aims to update technical competencies regarding digitalization and automation, involving specialists from various professional associations to foster a management model focused on taxpayer assistance.

In Mexico, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) met with the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea to strengthen international cooperation. Discussions between SAT head Antonio Martínez Dagnino and Commissioner Lim Kwang Hyun focused on using big data, artificial intelligence, and digital invoicing to improve collection processes and combat tax evasion. The meeting highlighted the importance of information exchange and the use of digital ecosystems to simplify administrative procedures.
