Tax incentives and energy efficiency awards announced

In Peru, companies investing in research, development, and technological innovation (R&D+i) have until October 9, 2026, to apply for tax benefits under Law No. 30309. The incentive allows for an additional deduction of up to 140% of R&D+i expenses, in addition to the 100% deduction for the actual expenditure made. To qualify for the 2026 fiscal year, companies must obtain a favorable ruling from the National Council for Science, Technology, and Technological Innovation (Concytec) within the same year the expenses are incurred or disbursed.

In Spain, the Plataforma enerTIC.org is accepting applications for the enerTIC Awards 2026 until September 10. These awards aim to identify successful cases in digitalization, energy efficiency, and sustainability. The competition focuses on projects implemented by user organizations rather than commercial products, highlighting real-world results in competitiveness and resilience through the use of technology and data.
