Taxco expands sports tourism with new 2026 cycling events

Taxco is expanding its sports tourism portfolio with the announcement of the Downhill Urbano Taxco 2026 and the Urban Trail Nocturno 2026. These events will utilize the streets, plazas, and alleys of the Guerrero ‘Pueblo Mágico’ to attract visitors and diversify the local economy.

The Downhill Urbano Taxco 2026 is scheduled for October 10 and 11. With registration closed, the event expects over 150 competitors, including international participants. Officials anticipate more than 15,000 spectators, following a pilot edition in 2025 that drew approximately 11,000 attendees.
