Taxi burned in Puerto Aventuras linked to driver kidnapping

A taxi belonging to the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río union was found burned and abandoned on a dirt road near Puerto Aventuras. The vehicle, a white Toyota with green stripes and number 2003, was located near an old dolphinarium close to Federal Highway 307.

Authorities confirmed the vehicle is the same one involved in a recent kidnapping. A driver had been taken by unknown individuals three days prior. While there were initial concerns of a new attack on the union following a previous Molotov cocktail incident at their offices, investigators determined this was linked to the earlier abduction. The driver was subsequently located in the Los Sauces area. The State Attorney General's Office is investigating the kidnapping and the arson of the vehicle.
