Taya Valkyrie enters free agency after declining AEW contract extension
Professional wrestler Taya Valkyrie has officially announced her departure from All Elite Wrestling (AEW). After joining the promotion in March 2023, Valkyrie confirmed via a social media statement that she has entered free agency after electing not to accept an offer to extend her contract.
Valkyrie expressed gratitude toward the organization, stating she is thankful for the opportunity to work alongside exceptional talent and build lasting relationships within the wrestling community. She indicated that she intends to explore new opportunities as a wrestler, television personality, and creative professional.
A veteran of the industry, Valkyrie has previously held championships in AAA and TNA/Impact Wrestling. While she was a featured performer during her early tenure in AEW, she had not appeared on company programming for a significant period prior to this announcement.
