Taylor Momsen names The Beatles’ ‘A Day in the Life’ as the perfect song

Taylor Momsen The Pretty Reckless The Beatles Rick Beato podcast music influence

Taylor Momsen, vocalist for The Pretty Reckless, identified The Beatles’ ‘A Day in the Life’ as the perfect song she wishes she had written during a recent appearance on Rick Beato’s podcast.

Momsen discussed the song’s innovation, quality, and superior sonics, noting that Beatles records often sound better than subsequent recordings. She also highlighted the ‘Strawberry Fields’ demo as a testament to their musical impact.

In addition to The Beatles, Momsen cited Soundgarden as a major musical influence that shaped her life through its mood, tone, and the voice of Chris Cornell.
