Taylor Sheridan writes screenplay for Sicario 3

Taylor Sheridan, the creator of ‘Yellowstone’, has written the screenplay for ‘Sicario 3’, according to reports from Variety. The project, which has been in development since approximately 2018, is moving toward production following previous delays, including the WGA strike.

Josh Brolin, who starred in the first two films, has confirmed the project is moving forward and expects production to begin soon. Brolin is set to return, and Benicio del Toro is also expected to reprise his role. There is speculation regarding the potential return of Emily Blunt.

While the script is finalized, a director has not yet been officially attached. Previous directors include Denis Villeneuve and Stefano Sollima. Sollima has indicated that new installments should feature different directors to provide unique styles, while Villeneuve is expected to be occupied with other major film commitments.
