Taylor Smith discusses personal loss and move to Sydney Swans

AFLW player Taylor Smith is discussing her personal journey following the sudden death of her father, Shaun, who died of a heart attack at age 52. The loss occurred six months after Smith achieved a premiership with the Brisbane Lions.

After playing 76 games for Brisbane, Smith has transitioned to the Sydney Swans. She recently marked her club debut by kicking three goals to lead the team to an eight-point victory over the Crows. Smith noted that while her father was a Brisbane supporter, she believes he would support her decision to challenge herself with a new club.
