Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are facing significant opposition from neighbors in Bratenahl, Ohio, regarding renovations to their $5.35 million lakefront estate. The dispute centers on plans to enhance privacy and security through the installation of a fence and extensive landscaping.

While the Bratenahl Architectural Review Board approved a revised 6-foot aluminum fence, residents have raised serious concerns about the proposed planting of approximately 50 evergreen trees. Longtime neighbor Katherine Bolton warned that tree roots could cause “catastrophic sewage backups” in a 115-year-old shared clay sewer line, noting she was quoted $75,000 to protect the infrastructure. Other neighbors criticized the removal of existing shrubbery and expressed fears that the new fencing could pose a hazard to local wildlife.
