Taylor Swift sets Adult Pop Airplay record with 16th No. 1

Taylor Swift has set a new record on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart, securing her 16th number one single. With the success of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” Swift moves past Maroon 5, who previously held a tie for the most chart-toppers on the format with 15 hits each.

The record-breaking track was written for Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5” and is inspired by the character Jessie. The song reached the top position on the chart for the week of August 22, 2026, after climbing from the number four spot.

Swift’s history on the Adult Pop Airplay chart dates back to 2013 with “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Other number one hits on this specific chart include “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “Cruel Summer.”
