Denver Broncos explore signing former Saints versatile player Taysom Hill

Taysom Hill, the 36‑year‑old former New Orleans Saints utility player, is a free agent after nine seasons with the team. Reports indicate the Denver Broncos, now coached by former Saints head coach Sean Payton, are interested in bringing Hill back for a possible reunion in Denver. Hill, who has logged 2,426 passing yards, 2,551 rushing yards and 1,034 receiving yards with 57 total touchdowns, could be used in multiple roles – quarterback, running back and tight end – to support Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, who is recovering from ankle surgery. The Broncos view Hill’s versatility as a way to add depth and flexibility to their offense. Hill began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers in 2017 before joining the Saints, where he became the only player in the Super Bowl era to record 1,000 yards in passing, rushing and receiving in a single season.
