tbi Bank grants two‑month grace period to developers hit by cadastral system outage
tbi Bank announced a temporary relief programme for real‑estate developers whose projects have been stalled by the shutdown of the land‑registry (cadastral) system following a recent cyber‑attack. Eligible borrowers can postpone up to two months of loan instalments, with the accrued interest capitalised and payable at the final maturity date.
Requests will be evaluated individually based on each client’s financial situation and repayment history. "The current blockage has temporarily halted transactions and delayed developers’ cash‑flows, but it does not reflect on their financial solidity. In these difficult moments, as a financing partner, we act quickly with a concrete solution to give developers the needed breathing space," said Alexandru Cosma, VP Banking for Partners at tbi Bank. The measure is in force only while the cadastral system remains non‑operational.
