TBI launches investment plans with life insurance coverage

Transcomer British International (TBI) has officially launched TBI Plus, a new family of investment solutions that integrate life insurance coverage from the Instituto Nacional de Seguros (INS). The plans, which include the Plus Activa, Plus Horizonte, and Plus Legacy options, combine real estate-linked market operations with economic protection for investors' beneficiaries.

The life insurance component is non-contributory, meaning investors do not pay an additional premium; instead, the cost is integrated into the product benefit. The coverage applies to both accidental and non-accidental death, subject to policy conditions, with a maximum insured amount of ₡140 million or $310,000 per person when combined with other INS policies.

According to TBI Executive President Óscar Gutiérrez, the initiative aims to provide investments with a purpose, focusing on protecting families and loved ones. The Plus Activa and Plus Horizonte plans are scheduled to be available starting October 15, while the Plus Legacy plan will be offered from November 2.
