TÜBİTAK-supported science festivals launch across Turkey

Various regions across Turkey have launched science festivals supported by the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festivals Support Program. These events aim to foster scientific thinking, research, and problem-solving skills among children and youth through interactive workshops and public engagement.

In Esenler, the 2nd Science, Innovation, and Technology Festival features 26 workshops, including science shows and disaster awareness activities. Local officials noted that such platforms are intended to prepare future scientists and mentioned upcoming large-scale science center projects.

In Diyarbakır's Yenişehir district, the ‘Dicle’den Akan Bilim Şenliği’ focuses on local ecosystems and cultural heritage, offering 34 stands for public exploration. Similarly, Elazığ has commenced its festival with 41 different workshops and academic lectures to promote teamwork and technological interest.

In Düzce, the Science Center hosted festivities to increase interest in technology, utilizing facilities built through municipal and TÜBİTAK funding to transform former public spaces into educational hubs.
