TÜBİTAK UZAY updates Gezgin Portal for national satellite imagery

TÜBİTAK UZAY has launched a comprehensive update to Gezgin Portal, Turkey’s first national satellite imagery platform. The portal provides a centralized, accessible hub for satellite data, featuring a user-friendly interface and secure e-Devlet integration.

Users can access archives from the RASAT satellite, which completed an 11-year mission, as well as imagery from the GÖKTÜRK-2 intelligence satellite. The platform is designed to serve public institutions, municipalities, universities, researchers, and the private sector.

Key applications for the data include agricultural monitoring, environmental change tracking, forestry, disaster and emergency management, urban planning, and water resource management. TÜBİTAK UZAY indicated that the portal will be further enriched with imagery from future civil observation satellites currently under development.
