Tábor hosts European Junior Triathlon Cup and Czech Championships

On Sunday 12 July 2026 the town of Tábor in the Czech Republic held the 41st Tábor Triathlon Festival, featuring the European Cup junior race and national elite championships. The competition used a 750‑metre swim in the Jordán River, a 20‑km bike loop through the town centre and a 5‑km run along Masaryk Square and the riverbank, with free entry for spectators.

The junior cup attracted 96 athletes from 17 countries, including participants from Colombia, the United States and Hungary. Czech competitors led the results: Jakub Mařík won the men’s junior European Cup in 58:31, while Edita Pozlerová placed fourth. The women’s race was won by Hungary’s Petra Bán; Pozlerová finished fourth behind the bronze‑medal Austrian.

The day’s programme also included Czech Elite Championships races, with Jakub Mittner winning the men’s elite and Vanda Křížková taking the women’s title. Free parking and a family‑friendly atmosphere were provided for attendees.
