Tóc Tiên selected to represent Vietnam at Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026

Singer Tóc Tiên has been announced as the representative for Vietnam in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026. The announcement was made by DAO Music Entertainment during the launch of “The Sound of Vietnam” in Ho Chi Minh City.

Under the competition format, the artist is selected first, while the specific song is determined later. Tóc Tiên will perform five competing songs during a national selection night broadcast on VTV3 on October 3. The winning song will be chosen based on a 50/50 split between a professional jury and public voting via QR code or the official website.

The selected song will then undergo a month of preparation before the grand final in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14. Vietnam will compete against ten other nations, including South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines. Tóc Tiên expressed that this represents one of her greatest professional challenges, noting the pressure of representing her country on an international stage where domestic fans are not permitted to vote.
