TCDC Ubon Ratchathani officially opens to boost regional creative economy

The Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) has officially opened its Ubon Ratchathani branch, marking a significant expansion of the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) infrastructure into the lower Isan region. The center was established through a collaboration between the CEA, Ubon Ratchathani Municipality, and Ubon Ratchathani University.

A core component of the new center is the ‘Festival Lab,’ an initiative designed to use creativity to enhance local festivals and tourism. This lab aims to serve as a creative platform that connects local cultural capital, businesses, and people to drive the regional creative economy.

The facility offers three primary service areas:

1. Resource Center: A library and database focused on design and creativity. 2. Creative Lab: A workspace for developing cultural products, services, and the integration of art, technology, and contemporary culture. 3. Gallery: An exhibition space for hosting events, workshops, and networking activities.

The center is located near the Talat Yai area on Ratchabut Road and is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday.
