TCE-AM and TCU to host seminar on Amazon infrastructure costs
The Amazonas Court of Accounts (TCE-AM), in partnership with the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), has opened registrations for a seminar titled ‘Amazonian Cost – The Price of Distance and Infrastructure Challenges’. The event is scheduled for October 29 in Manaus.
The seminar aims to bring together authorities and specialists to discuss how the Amazon region's unique characteristics—specifically vast distances, logistical difficulties, and infrastructure access—impact the costs and execution of public works and services.
Jaime Cavalcante Alves, rector of the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM), is set to deliver the keynote lecture. TCE-AM President Yara Amazônia Lins emphasized the importance of the debate for regional development and understanding the specific impacts of the region's geography on economic planning.
