TCE-AM wins national award for competency management
The Amazonas State Court of Accounts (TCE-AM) has won first place in the Best Practice in Competency Management category at the 2026 Best Practices in People Management Governance Awards in the Public Sector. The award was presented in Foz do Iguaçu during an event organized by InFocoRH.
The recognition stems from the Integrated Strategic Development System (SIDE), an internal initiative developed by TCE-AM staff without the use of external specialized consultancies. The SIDE system utilizes technology and artificial intelligence to map employee competencies and recommend specific professional development courses and actions based on identified needs.
TCE-AM President Yara Amazônia Lins noted that the achievement demonstrates that public resources can be saved without sacrificing excellence, as innovation was built internally. The system relies on data from job requirement surveys and employee self-assessments to provide individualized training suggestions through the Court's School of Accounts.
