Tchibo plans to integrate loyalty points into supermarket apps

Tchibo is planning to overhaul its customer loyalty program by integrating its 'TreueBohnen' points system directly into the digital apps of major supermarkets. According to reports from Lebensmittel Zeitung, this move aims to streamline the shopping experience, allowing customers to collect rewards without needing to manage multiple separate apps or physical cards.

Concrete plans for this integration are reportedly already in development with the supermarket chain Edeka. Beyond the technical integration of the Tchibo-Card, the cooperation is expected to include improved conditions for independent Edeka retailers. Tchibo already maintains a presence in both Edeka and Rewe through its own depots.
