TCL and ASUS leverage AI for cultural heritage and smart home innovation

TCL and ASUS have partnered to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and traditional culture at the 10th 86358 Jiajia Zhuang Short Film Week in Shanxi, China. The collaboration produced the AI micro-documentary “Light and Shadow Inheritance,” which utilizes AI animation and advanced display technology to reinterpret traditional shadow puppetry. The initiative aims to use technology as a tool to support creators rather than replace them, focusing on preserving cultural authenticity through high-fidelity visual reproduction.

Separately, TCL has announced plans for its upcoming showcase at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The company intends to debut an upgraded version of its NXTHOME™ concept under the theme “AI Inspired Life.” The exhibition will feature an “Inspiration Habitat” that integrates AI-driven displays, mobile devices, smart glasses, and home appliances into a cohesive living environment. A central concept for this showcase is “Seasonal Resonance,” a design language intended to synchronize smart home devices, colors, and atmospheres with changing seasons to create a more intuitive and sensory-driven user experience.
