TCL launches eye‑friendly NXTPAPER tablet amid rising screen‑fatigue concerns

TCL has introduced the NXTPAPER 14 tablet, a 14.3‑inch Android device that uses the company’s NXTPAPER 3.0 display technology to reduce glare and filter blue light. The anti‑glare surface and paper‑like visual comfort are aimed at users who spend long hours reading, sketching or working on screens. Powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, the tablet offers 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage (expandable), a 10,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging, and a 13 MP rear camera. It is sold at a special Prime Day price.

Separate research highlights that prolonged screen use can cause digital eye strain, characterized by eye fatigue, dryness and reduced blink rate. Blue‑light exposure, glare and improper ergonomics further exacerbate symptoms. Experts recommend using blue‑light‑blocking glasses, adjusting screen height and distance, and maintaining proper posture to alleviate discomfort.
