TCL NXTPAPER tablets feature specialized matte displays for reading

TCL is offering its NXTPAPER series of Android tablets, which feature specialized matte displays designed to mimic the appearance of paper and reduce eye strain. The NXTPAPER 14 model is currently available on Amazon at a discounted price of $350, down from its usual $470. This 14.3-inch tablet includes a 2.4K anti-glare screen, a T-Pen stylus with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and a 10,000 mAh battery.

The display technology utilizes NXTPAPER 3.0, which incorporates blue light filtration, continuous dimming to eliminate flicker, and an Eye Health Assistant to manage brightness and color temperature. Users can toggle between standard, color paper, and ink modes via a physical button.

While the NXTPAPER 11 Plus provides a highly effective e-ink mode and matte coating for outdoor reading, reviews note that its performance may lag behind competitors. For users requiring more processing power, alternatives such as the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro or the 11th-generation Apple iPad are suggested as more robust options in a similar price bracket.
