TCL QM8L TV Wins PCMag Lab Award for Brightest Luminance

PCMag introduced its 2026 PCMag Lab Awards to recognize products that achieve the highest measured performance in specific lab tests. The TCL QM8L (known as the TCL C8L in the United States) earned the inaugural Lab Award for being the brightest television, recording the highest luminance among all models tested. The award also granted the TV PCMag’s Editors’ Choice for mini‑LED televisions.

Testing was conducted in PCMag’s labs using a Murideo SIX‑G signal generator, a Klein K‑10A colorimeter and Portrait Displays’ Calman software to measure peak brightness in nits across various picture modes. The TCL QM8L’s results surpassed those of other leading models, including the Samsung S95H, which previously received a Lab Award for the lowest input lag. The recognition highlights the importance of high contrast and brightness for vivid picture quality.
