TCL SunPower launches Origin solar module series in Europe

TCL SunPower Global has introduced its SunPower Origin solar module series in Europe, utilizing eighth-generation back-contact (BC) cell technology. The series includes both residential and commercial options designed to improve installation flexibility and efficiency.

The residential modules offer power outputs ranging from 485 W to 505 W, with a maximum efficiency of 24.7%. These modules feature an all-black design and dimensions of 1,800 mm × 1,134 mm. The commercial version provides up to 615 W and features a bifacial design with up to 80% bifaciality.

A key technical feature is the use of lithography-based cell patterning instead of laser processing to minimize microcrack risks. The modules are backed by a 40-year warranty covering the product, service, and power output, with an annual power degradation rate not exceeding 0.25%. Additionally, the modules have received Class A+ shading-resistance certification from TÜV Rheinland.
