TCL wins 11 design awards as Samsung launches Micro RGB TV in Chile
TCL's X11L SQD-Mini LED television and a range of other products were honored with a total of 11 prestigious recognitions at the iF Design Awards 2026 and the Red Dot Design Awards. The awards highlighted the company's focus on aesthetic excellence, user‑centred design, and sustainable materials. Shane Lee, director of the TCL Design Innovation Center, said the accolades reflect the brand’s commitment to “creating intuitive, connected experiences while exploring responsible innovation.”
In Chile, Samsung introduced a 115‑inch Micro RGB television. The new screen uses micrometric red, green and blue light sources in the backlight instead of the traditional white backlight, allowing more light to reach the panel and increasing brightness while improving energy efficiency. Danilo Musa, Samsung Chile’s Master Trainer, explained that the technology does not change the display’s 4K resolution but reduces colour‑filter loss, offering higher peak brightness and better control of zones in varying lighting conditions.
