Técnicas Reunidas secures 200 million euro contract in Canada
Spanish engineering firm Técnicas Reunidas, through its subsidiary TR Canada E&C, has secured a contract valued at over 200 million euros for Phase 2 of the Coastal GasLink (CGL) pipeline in British Columbia, Canada.
Awarded by the LNG Canada consortium—which includes Shell, Petronas, PetroChina, Mitsubishi Corporation, and KOGAS—the contract involves providing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) services. The project is expected to span more than four years and includes the construction of five new compression stations and necessary modifications to existing infrastructure.
Under the agreement, LNG Canada will act as the main construction manager, while Técnicas Reunidas provides technical expertise through EPCM services. This development follows the consortium's recent Final Investment Decision (FID) for this phase and aligns with the company's 'Salta' strategic plan, which identifies North America as a key market for energy and data center infrastructure projects.
