TCU and Texas Tech Ranked in United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll

The United Soccer Coaches Association released its preseason poll for women's college soccer, placing Texas Christian University (TCU) at No. 6 nationally and Texas Tech University at No. 23. Both programs are members of the Big 12 Conference, which has five teams in the top‑25 rankings.

TCU’s 2026 roster features 12 returning players and 16 newcomers, including former Division I transfers such as Amelie Darey (Butler) and Cameron Byrd (Texas). Key returnees include Emma Yolinskyl, who led the team in goals last season, and All‑Big 12 performer Cameron Patton. The Horned Frogs open their campaign on Aug. 13 at Wisconsin, with a home opener against UT SA on Aug. 16.

Texas Tech’s squad returns a core of All‑Big 12 preseason honorees—Kylie Bahr, Eleanor Hayes and Taylor Zdrojewski—plus several transfers, notably two‑time national champion goalkeeper Addie Todd from Florida State. The Red Raiders begin their season on Aug. 6 at home against New Mexico in an exhibition match.
