TCU plans new federal auditor exam for 2027

The Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) is planning a new competitive examination for the position of Federal External Control Auditor (AUFC). According to documents related to the 2027 Annual Budget Law Project (PLOA), the examination is expected to take place in 2027. The position requires a higher education degree and offers an initial salary of approximately R$32,000.

The 2027 budget proposal includes a provision for 43 vacancies to fill positions within the TCU. The inclusion of these vacancies in the budget planning is intended to facilitate future appointments, though actual hiring remains subject to resource availability and necessary authorizations. The agency estimates that the new examination could attract around 20,000 applicants, generating an estimated R$3.4 million in registration revenue.
