Within its first eight weeks it logged 60.2 million views, held the No. 1 spot globally for four consecutive weeks, and entered the top‑10 in 91 countries. The series’ strong performance underscores the growing global appeal of Korean content on the streaming platform.

Despite the viewership success, Netflix has not confirmed a second season. Director Hong Jong Chan has said there are “many stories left to tell” and expressed hope for a renewal, but a Netflix spokesperson stated that “nothing has been decided.” The renewal decision remains pending as the show continues to attract a large audience.
