Teacher dies after falling from window in Guarulhos school

Nayara do Carmo Silva, a 24-year-old teacher and pedagogical coordinator, died following a fall at a Fisk language school in the Jardim Tamassia neighborhood of Guarulhos, São Paulo.

According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, the accident occurred while Silva was attempting to assist a student who had become trapped in a bathroom. While trying to deliver a key through a window, a drywall structure gave way, causing her to fall toward the ground floor near a staircase.

Emergency services, including the Military Police and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), were dispatched to the scene, but she did not survive her injuries. The case has been registered as a suspicious death at the 9th Police District of Guarulhos. The Civil Police have requested forensic examinations from the Institute of Criminalistics and the Medical Legal Institute to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
