Teacher training programs launch in Mexico and Argentina
The Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) announced a new Neuroeducation Diploma for teachers and students, running from 6 June to 31 October. The program, coordinated by Dr. Sonia Yanin Cárdenas Sánchez, will cover brain anatomy, cognition, emotional regulation and instructional strategies to help educators apply neuroscience insights in classrooms.
In Argentina’s Chaco province, the Ministry of Education held the first synchronous virtual session of its "Comprensión de textos: Procesos Cognitivos y Desafíos Actuales" training. The course targets primary and secondary teachers, including those without current posts, and is part of the 2024‑2027 Provincial Literacy Plan. More than 20,000 teachers from across the province are enrolled.
Both initiatives aim to improve teaching practices through scientific approaches to learning and literacy.
