Teachers accused of manipulating students in Matamoros school leadership dispute

Reports indicate ongoing tensions regarding administrative appointments within the Mexican educational system. In Matamoros, a group of teachers is allegedly manipulating students at the Escuela Normal Guadalupe Mainero to incite discontent and provoke conflicts intended to facilitate changes in school leadership.

These maneuvers are reportedly used to pressure the Secretaría de Educación into appointing new directors. The conflict at the normal school has also manifested through teacher absenteeism and issues regarding the integrity of student grading.
