Teachers in Mymensingh fight in school office due to domestic dispute

A video depicting a physical altercation between a head teacher and an assistant teacher at Akta Government Primary School in Fulbaria, Mymensingh, has surfaced on social media. The two educators, Afzal Hossain and Asma Begum, are husband and wife who have reportedly been living separately for 14 years due to ongoing family disputes and legal proceedings.

Head teacher Afzal Hossain admitted to the fight, stating it was triggered by long-standing domestic issues and noting that he had colleagues record the incident. Local officials have launched an investigation into the matter. The District Primary Education Officer has directed the Upazila Primary Education Officer to conduct an inquiry and submit a report to determine appropriate disciplinary actions.

Civic organizations have expressed concern regarding the incident, noting that such behavior in a school environment can have a negative impact on students who may witness such conflicts.
