Teachers march to demand justice for deceased educator Alma González

The National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) Section 31 has called for a peaceful march on Monday, September 28, to demand justice for physical education teacher Alma González Montiel. González Montiel was found dead on September 22 in a rural area connecting Cuautinchán and Santa Cruz Alpuyeca in the state of Puebla.

According to the Puebla State Attorney General's Office, the teacher was last seen on September 17 in the San Miguel neighborhood of Cuautlancingo. The mobilization, scheduled to begin at 08:30 from the Tlahuicole monument in Tlaxcala, aims to demand security conditions for educators and a thorough investigation into the circumstances of her death.
