Team Bahamas defeats Chile 94-87 in basketball friendly

Team Bahamas defeated the Chilean national basketball team 94-87 in a friendly match held in Santiago. The game served as a preparation fixture for the Bahamas ahead of the second round of FIBA World Cup qualifying.

Franco Miller led the Bahamian scoring with 30 points, including five three-pointers. Domnick Bridgewater contributed a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists, while Isaiah Mobley added 19 points. For Chile, players from the Universidad de Concepción (UdeC) stood out, specifically Sebastián Pereira, who scored 15 points in his debut, and Kevin Rubio, who recorded 11 points.

The Bahamas will next face Uruguay in Montevideo on August 27 as part of Group F, which also includes Argentina, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The top three teams from each group, along with the best fourth-place team, will qualify for the 2027 FIBA World Cup.
