Team Canada wins three gold medals at Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

Team Canada secured three gold medals at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships held in Irvine, California. The gold medalists included Alexanne Lepage in the women’s 200 metre breaststroke, Summer McIntosh in the women’s 400 metre individual medley, and Blake Tierney in the men’s 100 metre backstroke.

McIntosh set a new Pan Pacific Swimming Championship record in her event with a time of 4:28.01, surpassing the previous record of 4:31.99 set by Elizabeth Beisel in 2014.

In total, Canada earned 13 medals during the competition, consisting of four silver and six bronze medals. Silver medalists included Tierney, McIntosh, and Taylor Ruck, while bronze medals were awarded to Ethan Ekk, Taylor Ruck, and three Canadian relay teams.
